Stainless steel is ideal for cedar in joists PT

The deck is complete and I have some tips for those looking to use these screws. Camo Marksman worked well with 2-3/8 stainless steel screws. I went through 1" cedar in joists, which was pretty chewed up compared to previous standard screw-in boards. Biggest tip is to use a 6" 7/64th drill bit to pre-drill. Installation is surprisingly easy, using a cordless drill to pre-drill and a cordless impact driver with a camo bit to drive the screw. Second tip: Don't press too hard on softer woods like…
