Good choice for dogs with allergies

About a year ago I switched my dog to Acana Wild Atlantic dog food because my dog loves fish and I've heard great reviews about it. After a few months of eating, my dog developed a cough/gag and later developed a membranous yellowish film in his ears (he's never had ear mites, fleas, or any ear disease). As the vet was closed except for Corona emergencies I had to wait for an appointment as she didn't look stressed). I was shocked when the vet told me the coughing/choking and ear discomfort was

Warning: new formula, my dog hates it!

The new LID formula for lamb and rice is terrible. My dog with food allergies has been eating this brand and flavor with no problem for over 7 years until a new and improved formula hit the shelves last month or so. She refuses to eat it, or when she is finally hungry enough to give up and eat it, she has stomach problems. A few weeks later I took her to the vet for weight loss and digestive issues (poo) thinking she was sick. The good news is my dog is fine; The vet asked about her food and…

New formula caused stomach problems in my older dog

I've been feeding my dog this brand for ages and it was fine until recently. I recently opened a new bag and thought everything was fine. I walked in to find that my dog had thrown up in one of the hidden corners of the house, making quite a mess that I had to clean up. I'm not sure how long he's been doing this but I've been trying to reduce the amount of food I've been giving him by eliminating treats etc. Then I noticed that one of my old empty bags of this food said they were…

It's been great since

First I want to say that I have no bad feelings about any other dog food I've tried, it just didn't work for my dog's situation. I currently have a Pit Bull mix, 5 years old. I started with Hill's SD Adult dog food - I think it was called "Active Longevity" or something - it was for active adult dogs. Ever since we adopted her and she has been eating this food she has thrown up about once a week. At first I thought she was eating too fast and then she became active which could lead to an upset…

DO NOT BUY THIS FOOD

I don't usually care enough about a product to write a review (negative or positive), but I felt the need to share my experience with this dog food. We have been feeding our two dogs this food for many years without any problems. Natural Balance recently changed its formula to include more protein. It wasn't really a wake up call for us as we assumed our dogs wouldn't mind. When we bought our last bag of this food (May 2020) and opened it to fill our dog food container, we noticed a very strong

High quality grain free dog food with NO harmful ingredients

I cannot praise Natural Balance Limited's ingredients enough. I use the Meal Meal & Brown Rice formula. Two of my Border Collies eat this Natural Balance dry food and enjoy the taste. When it's time to eat (I feed twice a day) they both come up to me and remind me it's time to eat. Moistened with a little warm water, the pieces stay crisp and make a nice little sauce. I used to feed another expensive brand of grain free food that was £4 less per bag and cost more. Then I found an article by a…
