Yum dum dum in Birds

I gave it 5 stars in the taste category. But to be honest I don't drink it, the birds drink it so I guess they like the taste. Put a few inches in the feeder and change weekly, these little birds are finicky and won't even eat it if it turns sour. Summer in this amount is enough without problems. These hummingbirds are playful maniacs, and this thing will keep them going.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • No insurance

Has become different from the picture but still happy

I usually just make hummingbird nectar from 1 part sugar to 4 parts water. However, I saw this item being offered as an add-on for $3.50 and I figured I couldn't even make my own that cheap, so I'll give it a try. It comes very well packaged (has a seal under the lid, also the whole container is sealed in a plastic bag on delivery). The strange thing is that I did not receive what is pictured. I have Pennington instead of Natural Springs. . . . . but the hummingbird loves it, so that's all I…

Halfway to potentially bad food for hummingbirds

Although I'm not a hummingbird and therefore can't really tell the quality of different hummingbird nectar, I believe it could be poor quality hummingbird food. Hummingbirds didn't really care about him. They would come up, study, maybe take a few sips, then go straight to the flowers. A very unusual unfortunate consequence of this was that the bees moved in. This is how my hummingbird feeder became a bee-only feeder. And quite a few bees. No, there are many. Day and night they went nowhere…
