The gun has no suction power.

It would be much cooler if the gun actually had better suction power. A gun can't suck an ant out of concrete. The bug house has openings large enough for small bugs to get out easily. Has the look and feel without the functionality I was hoping for. You have to keep the big bugs inside and guide insects more or less into the barrel hoping they will crawl inside. Good luck catching anything that flies. Frogs aren't likely to jump into a barrel, and your kid will kill most of the bugs he triesโ€ฆ

Very cool. till dead

A vacuum cleaner and a house for insects is a very good idea. Unfortunately it doesn't last long. We bought two. The first one didn't even start. The second was so amazing we thought it was worth all the hassle. It sucked on bugs, and the enlargement part was very neat. We sat down for lunch and when we used it again. Nothing. Replaced batteries and it won't start. The light worked, but the vacuum was created. My 7 year old was very disappointed after having so much fun with him earlier in theโ€ฆ

the vacuum cleaner doesn't really work as advertised

I read a lot of reviews before buying, the vacuum cleaner had mostly bad and good reviews but the good ones had suggestions I thought maybe the bad reviews are missing a small door that you can close once you catch a bug that disables the suction, but even when it's open it doesn't work well enough to suck in a fly or an ant for us. The cage itself is very cool, it has a lightweight and detachable round lid where you can throw food for whatever is caught without removing part of the roof andโ€ฆ

this might be one of the worst assembled toys i have ever seen. I have read many reviews here about motors that stopped working after one or more uses. Well, a certified electronics technician is here to show you exactly why. The switch inside is garbage. Combine that with a design that lets it bend backwards and is doomed to break. See attached photos. It's hard to tell how thin and fragile the metal that makes up this switch really is. It's just not suitable for this application. Anyone whoโ€ฆ

Vacuum cleaner HAS suction power

God. All the people who gave it bad reviews and complained that the vacuum can't suck anything didn't realize that the vacuum "gun" has a flap that you have to open before you put it on the bug can apply. This flap is controlled by the LARGE BLACK SWITCH ON THE SIDE OF THE UNIT. Its purpose is to allow you to catch the bug you just sucked up without having to constantly sit there and suck to keep it from running away. If anyone wants to challenge me, take your "broken" vacuum gun outside, openโ€ฆ
