Neato Robotics 945-0260 Charge Base: Enhance Your Botvac Connected Series with Black Charging Dock Review

I'm giving 2/5 stars mainly due to mislabeling of Neato. I have an original Botvac Connected which requires a special 24V charger part number 945-0260. Twice I've ordered this charger and it's always had a different part number - 905-0342, ie an 18V charger for new non-lithium ion batteries. So frustrating that Neato can't get it right.

Cleans faster than my previous robot vacuum and is better (but not perfect) at staying away from spots where it can get stuck. The deep cleaning could be a little less deep. x I don't use my phone. The instructions aren't worth the trouble unless I'm trying to show them to impress someone. Now I have two Neatos (top and bottom). I will probably donate the old robo to a local charity that has outdoor areas.

If you have multiple cards, you must always place the dock in the same place for the card to work. Additional docks make things easier since you don't have to move them. My criticism of the Neato Dock is that it doesn't always charge the device. Although docking looks complete, the connection isn't always there. So I have to shake the device to make sure it connects and charges.

I've moved to a new two story house so we need to take our Neato Botwak and move it to different levels of the house. We also wanted to use "No Go" lines and for that you need to create floorplans and to use a floorplan you have to start the botwak from a base station. We ended up buying 2 more base stations so we have 3 in total which are now shown on different floorplans. Began having issues such as being on a leash and now climbs up the walls in an empty corridor and cleans up randomly. Customer service is chat or email only and you cannot speak to anyone. We were told to move the base, which we did five times. Charging station works great. This actually works better than Neato's customer service. Our Neato Vac died about 2 months after we received it. He, too, always got stuck at work. So this review focuses on the need for an additional charging base and assumes you liked the Neato Robot vacuum enough to buy it. The Neato vacuum robot (we have the D7) is very sensitive to starting from the same spot. So if you need to move the base to different places, you need to place it in the same place.
