🧵 Complete Leather Craft Tool Set- 12 pcs with Needles, Thread, Drilling Awl, and Thimble Review

I think I'm optimistic. I read the reviews and noticed that a few people got their kits working. and I sew the holes from the previous thread. No luck - I don't know if it was thick wax thread or the force required to pull the needle through a previously seen hole, but the needle broke in two different places. Back to the square and the sofa that still needs fixing.

This is a cool little set. There are 3 colors, a good amount of decent waxed yarn. A wooden-handled awl, a thimble and 7 needles, almost all of which I will use at some point. I received this kit to repair the armrests on my wife's SUV but I have used it for various repairs before. Cloth and leather furniture, ball gloves and I sewed a windshield cover and panniers for my Harley. There is still a lot of thread left, all the needles are stretching.

Good set! The waxed thread is very thick and I like all the marked needle types. All of them are quite thick as is required for most leather products. The thinnest is the small curved mattress pin I threaded in the picture. Shiloh is good! I'm not a good seamstress and I hate it but as an amateur it looks good. The husband is a professional seamstress and he says there is a really good selection of needles and he said they are worth the money.

The needles in this set are for birds. I broke every pin trying to fix my leather belt. Thank goodness a YouTube video about repairing leather belts suggested a specific needle to me because they definitely weren't the right solution for the job. I gave this set 2 stars instead of 1 because the thread really helped. So it wasn't a waste of money, I was just disappointed that I had to spend more money on the items that came with this set, but the quality wasn't up to scratch.

Awl, needles and coated thread are strong and hold up well. Piercing through (thick) faux leather and sheepskin was easy. Definitely recommend!
