Description of Neewer Camera Flash Speedlite Canon

4.2'/1.3m heavy-duty coiled cable. Features a shoe mount on the bottom of the flash connection shoe, as well as a 1/4"-20 socket. Features a built-in tripod socket at the other end where the Speedlite unit is attached to which permits to be locked onto a tripod & frees your hand from holding the off-camera flash. Total dedication between digital or film camera & flash using ISO shoe connection. Helps to achieve off-camera flash photography results without the harsh shadows behind your objects common when using direct flash exposures.

Works great, has full control over the camera flash. maybe not 4.9ft

This has been an important part of my macro photography, it works great, perfect length for what I'm using it for. However, it seems that if you stretch it to its maximum length, it can cause damage. I don't feel any difference between on-camera flash and off-camera flash, so there are no downsides to using this accessory. What really surprised me was the weight, it's actually quite heavy for a cable. Overall really nice. I also really like the box.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • crumpled

The cable is too long to use on the camera.

If you're using this on a flash arm, get a flash arm about 3 inches long instead. That's too long for this purpose. This adds extra weight and you have to deal with the extra length of wire (I wrap it around the flash arm). Using this allows you to hold the flash at arm's length. Which doesn't make sense to me would be more convenient than running the 3 inch cable. An advantage I never use. In this case I buy an even longer cable to put the flash on a stand for even more positioning options. As

Excellent cable for external flash, albeit much shorter at 2.7m

Good for accessing E-TTL flash controls off camera with my Canon EOS Rebel SL2. The only problem is that others have said it's not 9 feet long. I think if used as a tug of war it can stretch to that length, it's only really useful to 3-4ft. I knew this from reviews but needed more so I hooked up an extension using an old PS2 6 wire KVM switch computer cable and it works great now and is a lot cheaper than buying a longer E-TTL cable . Pros: It works as it should with a cable. Cons: Doesn't fit…

The best money you can spend on high-impact photos.

Disabling the flash from your camera is the quickest and cheapest way to give your shots the impact, drama and that "something" that sets them apart. This cable works great with your factory or aftermarket flash to get the job done cheaply and quickly. The build quality is good, the length is perfect and the cable feels very durable. It's securely attached at both ends and I haven't had a single issue with it not plugging in (which I've experienced with cheap external cables). The only thing I…

Not what they promised

Cable received, tested, works fine. Unfortunately, this is a far cry from the advertised length of 9.8 feet, so at the request of their supposed company president, I wrote to them to inform them of the shortage and asked if they could supply one that actually matched the advertised length. Since then I've received two more replies, neither of which have been helpful. The latter ask me to measure the length. To those who suggested stretching the cord I would say BE VERY VERY CAREFUL as the small

Works great for macro photography, offers a convenient 1m extension

Everything has worked great so far, I'm happy to give it a 5 out of 5. I will update if I run into any problems or if the cable breaks. Pros: It's very easy to use, the side hot shoe mount has a latch that stays in place, and the other side attaches to a regular quick release tripod with a 1/4" screw. It's small enough to take with me for outdoor or macro photography, which is what I use it for without taking up too much space. Cons: The same last advantage of this cable can be its disadvantage
