It's awesome: camera and photo

Love it! I was planning on using it as a hair lamp, but for my most recent shoot I actually hung it on a pole and used it to light the background. For €40 it doesn't get any better. Maybe I'll use one for accent lighting in the future. I wouldn't call this a key light, but maybe a fill light. I'm very happy with how it works. I took a screenshot for you below.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Some bugs

Ideal for filming and more.

If you choose between 216 and 160 versions of this lamp. go with it 216 . I have both, both work really well but the 216 is brighter and looks whiter. The version with smaller bulbs has a green tint and an accompanying pink filter to balance it out. I didn't notice it at first, but it was very noticeable when you put them next to each other. Not only are these lights great for filming, you should keep one in your car for emergencies. Turning this light up full blast is enough to illuminate…

Basically it didn't work at all.

I bought this in July and unfortunately got shingles shortly after; Otherwise I would use the light and find myself having to return it and ask for a replacement. I started using it on a very limited basis in September and realized something was wrong with it as I was quickly using up two sets of 6 batteries despite only using the flashlight a couple of times for short periods of time. I just took a closer look at the last set of batteries I removed and noticed that the plastic coating on four…

Good lighting. Poor build quality.

I liked this light until the day the on/off switch fell off. Unfortunately, it happened on the exact day my returns window closed. Bad luck. It's otherwise bright but uses some battery when fully on. And I can't get it to work on standard AA alkaline batteries. Rechargeable AA, yes. And regular AA, no. But the batteries don't last long anyway. So use a camera-style battery or, even better, if you have an outlet nearby and the power cord doesn't fit, an AC adapter. I honestly don't know if I can

The build quality is roughly what you would expect from a .

The build quality is what you would expect from a budget flashlight. It's cheaply built and maybe not durable, but the price is right and you get what you pay for, so I'm not scolding it. The Panasonic battery adapter broke almost immediately. Too bad, because I have a lot of Panasonic batteries from old camcorders. The light is very bright and generally white enough when the deflector is on. As you can see it has strong peaks in the blues but otherwise has a reasonable curve. Compared to 5000k

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

A ball head base type would be the best option. I would prefer 1/4.

When I received the lantern, something inside rattled, after shaking, a small nut fell out. After testing, the lamp still worked, so I took it off the first time I used it. After that I disassembled the lantern to see where the nut came from. It was part of the mounting screws for the base of the hot shoe. I was able to put it back in with a pair of tweezers. It required extra maneuvering and tweezers (to reinsert and tighten the screws) to put the entire block back together. This gives me no…

Insanely bright light

This light is very bright! With my Nikon D600 camera with 6 NiMH AA mounted in the light without a diffuser in a dark room, the exposure of a white wall from 1 meter: ISO 100, f/2.8, 1/160 is centered, brightest and most rolloff at the edges of the frame 24mm This corresponds to about 2600 lux per meter. I measured the battery terminals with an Extech multimeter: at 6 AA at 7.76 V (no load), at full light output the current consumption is 1.4 Ah; at half brightness (one level darker) 560 mAh…

Very bright light

I have had two Newwer 160 LED lamps for a number of years, which I use to photograph small objects and occasionally to fill in large light sources. The 216 LED can handle smaller items and is definitely a decent fill light. Better than 160. For reference, this flashlight has the same physical dimensions as 160. Worth a few bucks more in my opinion. The reason for the 4 star rating is the way the Sony batteries are attached to the light and the back. which I suspect should hold the battery in…

  • Electronics

The price is the best among similar offers. The range of functions is good. The problem is the color difference of the same product. It is suitable as a single light source, but its use as part of a multiple lighting system is difficult due to the inconsistency of light colours. The newest version with pure white light is preferable to the old version with green tint. Neewer should be commended for the award. For the price there is no better alternative. This is good for videographers and…
