i put this on an older nikon monopod and it is easier to use than the manfrotto the bubble level is on the side where it is easy to see. The product works like a charm, used a 400mm lens on a 35mm camera and was easy to see and switching cameras was a plus. I really liked this product. I don't usually comment, but it's good to stop by.

From what I understand it's cast zinc. Not really built to last. But a tripod that falls *maybe* 16 inches out of the open car door, where it was lying in the back seat, onto the floor shouldn't punch out holes for mounting studs. Good performance even for a budget device.

This quick release plate is one of the first purchases anyone using a cheaper screw down tripod system should make. The quick release feature speeds up photography and makes things much more convenient. I've since upgraded to a more advanced tripod system, so this plate has been moved to my Glidecam gimbal. The price just couldn't be better. 10 out of 10 recommend.

I didn't like that these included plates weren't compatible with all other Manfrotto style 501/501 plates I had. The shoe adapter/receiver will fit Manfrotto plates, but genuine Manfrotto quick release adapters will not fit Neewer plates. Not sure if this was just my issue, but FYI the plate that came with the adapter may not fit your existing quick release mechanisms.

This is an amazing product. I have at least 8 of these for all my gear. I plan to buy more when the time comes. This product is non-slip, stays in place and an important feature I learned recently is that the locking knob can slide out and rotate. So if your camera is in the way or you just can't turn it all the way, this little key feature will help you in small spaces wherever you install the base.

This is the cheapest quick release adapter plate I could find that works with my Ronin S Plate To quickly transfer the gimbal to the slider, this is probably the cheapest option. I originally thought about returning this because it doesn't work with my Ronin S plate (Manfrotto type) which is permanently installed on my BMPCC4K cage, but I found that one of the metal pins on the rail could unscrew . Which finally allowed my board to get in without getting stuck. (I'm not sure what this pin is…
