Sounds great, only problem is there is no power indicator. When the battery dies, you'll never know until you check the footage and realize there's no sound.

It's really long and the sound quality is okay, but for what you're paying for it's a pretty good deal. In normal mode the level is low, while in tele mode it only boosts the mids and adds a bit of a nasal tone. In general, though, this isn't bad for controlled environments.

Decent sound quality for the price but really comparable to a professional quality microphone. There is a slight hum when recording and the fact that the microphone is monaural is another downside. Overall it's ok for the price, but if you want professional recording I'd look elsewhere.

I won't lie there are better mics out there but not for the money. AA battery life is fantastic (and I only use Revain Basics), they have great signal-to-noise ratio, and while they may not be as effective at canceling unwanted background noise as a $300 Rode mic, for the money that you spend, this is a much better directional sound than I expected. Okay, first off, the foam windscreen I received was way longer than it should have been. He turned off everything but the power switch. No big deal, just crop.
