Great for mounting tires for a home player like me

I don't see the Teflon coating holding up well for the commercial vehicles they use every day. But I bought a set for my own use because it was relatively cheap and I'm very happy with it. I'm using a standard Matco air shock and the torsion bars have lug nuts about 5-7 ft-lbs under their advertised value, which is pretty good for what they are. This allows me to use a torque wrench to get exactly 100 ft-lbs, so a little low is fine with me.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • New competition has emerged

It works as intended, but not accurate enough.

I tested the 120Nm stick on my BMW. Well it works and won't let the eyebolt be tightened to 300+Nm. That's the point of torque: to limit the power of an impact wrench. However, this is not so accurate. I measured the final torque with my snap-on torque wrench. The final torque varies from 113 Nm to 135 Nm. This makes the 110 and 130Nm knobs just as good as the 120 making this set completely redundant. You can spend half the price and buy a 5 piece set and get the same result. So keep that in…

  • Nice packaging

  • Definitely bad product

Don't expect complete accuracy here!

These torsion bars are a pretty good idea so I decided to give them a try. I'm a heavy equipment mechanic and install a lot of skid steer tires. That's basically why I bought them. Today I have a 120 ft. lb. Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/2" dash grip used. After tightening the grommets, I tested them all with a torque wrench and they ranged from 145 to 155 ft-lbs. Which wasn't bad for my purposes. Basically you just have to go with Play around with these sticks and find out their true torque value. Just

Does what it should.

The color and finish are pretty good, the box works well. Comparing the torque from them to my torque wrench shows them to be fairly accurate, but it's hard to say as checking an already tightened eyelet or bolt with a torque wrench is an inaccurate method. Overall I'd say it's a good investment if you make a lot of tires. hp If you are unfamiliar with these types of instruments, there are a few things you need to know. At first, don't tighten all the studs at once, but make a star pattern by…

Handy for hand tools

When I'm doing a quick tire change these torque bars work fine. The torque rating unfortunately falls on either side of my desired horsepower rating (there are 80 and 90 ft/lb torque arms here, but my cars use 85 ft/lb), so I just round up to the next size up. The only one I have is the 19mm head - it works well on most of my bikes, but on a set it's so tight it's difficult to use. It doesn't snag and spin properly, but it's difficult to get in and out. Next time I'll try spraying them with…

Great quality but not quite the skinny sockets some of us need.

If you don't already have deep sockets, try them. The quality is very good. I really like the torque limit bars and color coding. I'm still impressed with Neiko's quality. However, I was looking for a set of thin-walled heads for my alloy wheels. You are not. I measure 29mm over the OD of a 19mm jack, including the protective case. I need a little less than 28mm. For reference, my Campbell Hausfeld 19mm impact socket has an OD of 28mm, the exact same bore as mine. My regular Kobalt 3/8 12 point
