Broke on first use!

One of these broke on FIRST use as the head became permanently lodged in the screw. At the moment I can't trust them with ANY OTHER project and that's why they are rubbish! Don't buy these if you need hex nuts! Look elsewhere.

Pros
  • Sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Great tool for an airplane mechanic!

Purchased primarily for one size, specifically for adjusting the main engine controls on CF6-80C2B6 jet engines. The tip of my old set broke and I need new ones. Great purchase, comes with a sturdy case.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Disappointing in fit and finish

Good price but dimensions not very accurate. A big disappointment when the hex shafts arrive already slightly rusted. They don't seem to be any better than the Port Freight tool. If I hadn't already used them I probably would have sent them back.

Broken Bits X3. DO NOT BUY!

I already have two of these sets and they don't do the job. They break with minimal torque and are not quality steel at all. Save money and buy another brand with a guarantee. Tekton has a lifetime guarantee, but nothing more.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Null

Not happy with this Neiko set

I have purchased several sets of Neiko heads in the past and have been very happy with their products. However, this socket set is just plain weak. I broke the first one I tried by removing a small Allen screw. It broke so easily I don't think anyone else could handle it.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • boring packaging

Broke on first use, fits custom actuator heads

Broke on first use when trying to tighten a small 12 ft.lb screw (not even close). My regular allen wrenches weren't enough so I decided to try them, but instead I got stuck in the middle of work and had to use a screwdriver on the last one. Luckily the end piece got stuck in the screw and I was able to pull it out without dropping it into the timing components.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • old

Cut off when closing the clasp.

I'd like to report that they work the same as other Neiko tools I've bought, but they don't. The 6mm bit shears off in the head of the third fastener, no torque just a tight fit. Shame as the triple square bits worked well although I will be very careful using them on the subframe I have will remove soon. Luckily I have Wiha bits to fit the rest of the fasteners, but I still have to get the broken ball head out of the recessed socket.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Almost never

Complete failure - mechanical and hand tools

I initially gave them a positive rating but I have to drop them. They are definitely cheaper than big brands and that's understandable. They are cheap. I've used the larger ones with no problems but when I tried to use the H4 size (smaller) it broke quicker than a liberal woke up thinking they weren't going to catch on. I hope they see this and send me a replacement otherwise... spend your money on a nice set

Pros
  • Precision machined ball end provides accurate tip size and allows access to fasteners from multiple angles to avoid obstacles
Cons
  • boring packaging

Don't buy this. Low quality.

2 bits broke on first use. I thought the first was an accident and the second broke after 2 days with a torque wrench set at 20ft/lbs. Sent mine back and asked for a refund and then they sent me a replacement kit instead which I said I didn't need. Check out other reviews, they have a history of ball joint failure and offer no guarantee after a 30 day return or replacement.

Pros
  • Bits are made from high quality S2 alloy steel for superior hardness for reduced wear and durability
Cons
  • Available in black only
