Ideal for smoking pellets in cold weather.

I use this as a thermal cover for my Camp Chef Smoker in cold weather and it works well for that purpose. The 4' x 6' size folded in half gives me twice the thickness and covers the entire door, top and sides of the smoker and really helps retain heat and cut down on pellets in cold weather. I use some super strong magnets to hold it in place. It doesn't shed fibers and yes, it discolours a bit where smoke hits it, but that's to be expected. Used three times and so far so good. Should last a…

This fire blanket DOES NOT WORK

This duvet does not work. I bought it because I wanted to use my ranch lantern to cut the steel angle and didn't want to set the place on fire (central Texas in July). It's better than nothing, but if you use a flashlight, it's a one-time thing. Each piece of slag that fell on him burned a hole, crumbled the fiberglass. And then it all penetrates your skin. I paid $20 for a disposable blanket, but at least I didn't start a wildfire. But yeah, in short, it sucks and shouldn't be called a sweat…

Works well as a barrier for my welding jobs

Love this welding blanket, it keeps welding and grinding sparks from spreading throughout the shop . The only problem I encountered was that it snagged easily, so I had to be careful not to throw it over the pitch surface. It caught on a piece of rough wood I have at the store and started to unravel, but I was able to pull it up and out to the rough wood chips and smooth it out again. My quilt looked like it had been torn and re-stitched. I'm so glad it has brass bushings otherwise I feel like…

Great Radiator Muffler

I have a radiator in my bedroom that keeps rattling and rattling. It stays hot all the time as it has no on/off switch. I can't sleep with all the noise and heat so I bought this sweat blanket and wrapped it around the radiator. Works wonders! It completely muffles the noise and keeps the heat from frying me. This probably violates all known fire safety regulations, but it certainly works. From time to time I unfold it and check for horrible burn marks. So far there have been no burn marks or…

Updated Rating! Have a spare, not a square!

Purchased 4x6, unboxed and fiberglass cords throughout. 4 fiberglass filled grommets that make your fingers itch to try to remove. And a left and right sleeve fell off when the product was simply unfolded. Wouldn't buy again, cheaply made. UPDATE: Went for a replacement, got it, and don't you know, this uncut square! It is laid out on the deck and there are only 2 straight and even ribs. Only used to drape Traeger when the outside temperature is below 35 degrees. Bought a genuine Traeger…

Welder's Hands-on Review

I'm a professional welder and I'm tired of reading useless reviews of people using them to protect smokers as this is unrelated to the intended purpose of these devices has to do ceilings. I bought two and yes they have floating fiberglass you can get your hands on which I never had but some soft hands can. I don't like floating dirty fiberglass, I would recommend something that isn't fiberglass. For light sparks the Mig/Tig/Stick is great. If you plan to place them within inches of a weld…
