I pulled my SSD out of my old dead iMac so I wanted a USB-C case that I can use as an external drive that plugs into a newer MacBook Pro is (which only USB has connectors -C). I wanted an aluminum case as I figured it would be a bit more durable than plastic and would be slimmer and have a somewhat Apple look.
