Add your freshly ground beans to the portafilter, preheat your brewing cylinder, prep your brew head by adding boiling water and then lower the lever. No need to dial in your grinder or buy expensive equipment. The NEO is a manual espresso machine that makes espresso brewing easy and fun. EASY TO CLEAN - The NEO, by Flair Espresso, is the only manual espresso maker with a completely detachable brewing head. This patented design allows for users to completely remove the brewing head, separate the parts, and rinse under cool water to clean. BUILT TO LAST - Now with an upgraded, stronger base, post and lever! Made from durable materials like cast aluminum and stainless steel, you can be sure your manual espresso maker, by Flair, is built to last. Both the aluminum press stand and the stainless steel brewing head are backed by a 3-year warranty.

Don't buy for coffee, tea and espresso

Looked good at first but then even without a base it didn't let water through and the metal it's made of is very cheap and porous where you it does require structural integrity, hence it broke in half unless the amount of weight applied exceeded their recommendation. I'd ask for a replacement, but I'd rather cut my losses and not deal with Flair.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Disgusting - coffee, tea and espresso

Obviously one of the items has already been used. It's scratched, stained and oily. When I dipped the other part into the boiling water, the coffee grounds began to flow out from under the red o-ring. Every part was also covered in dust/dirt but I just washed it off with soapy water. The handle also wobbles a lot from side to side. TERRIBLE QC (1st unit) Edit: I received a total of three units, all of which were used and covered in dirt/dust. The rubber grip is dirty. There are coffee/water…

Great espresso first time!

A coffee fanatic for a long time, I've always wanted to delve into the world of espresso (apart from the Nespresso capsule machine) but was afraid of (a) the cost and even more so (b) the complexity/ maintenance of the machine. Manual cars seemed like a good thing to test out for the price. After watching James Hoffman's videos online I decided to go with the basic Neo as I only have an OXO grinder which probably can't be perfectly adjusted. I'm so happy with my decision that I decided to post…

I like it! in Kitchen & Dining

Before purchasing this item I had an Aeropress that made good strong coffee but not a true espresso. I was looking for a machine that could make real espresso and last longer with regular use. After reading about the Neo manual espresso machine I decided to order one. I'm a beginner and have never had an espresso machine before. When the press arrived, the amount of detail was a little intimidating. After reading the brochure that came with the machine and reading the online instructions, I put

I really want to give 5 stars

All the good stuff first. Not sure there is a better espresso machine for the money. For just over $100, getting a machine that takes consistent shots isn't easy. Add to that the fact that it's incredibly easy to assemble and clean up, and you have something that has quickly become a part of my morning routine. However, there are a few small changes I'd like to make to the Flair. First, a pressure basket is not the best option. I understand the addendum. It will be very difficult for people…

Excellent espresso. Stable results.

My friend introduced me to the Classic Flair and I loved it (thanks Bob!). I have been roasting beans at home and wanted an inexpensive machine that could make great espresso. NEO is similar but not the same as Classic. NEO can be a great option for newbies like me thanks to its flow control features. However, I plan to buy a bottomless portafilter in the near future. I noticed that there was some water left between the bottom strainer and the red bottom of the portafilter, but not much. The…

Worth every penny in Kitchen & Dining

The only thing I didn't like is that it only brews one shot at a time, but it doesn't look like there clearly is one either Two shot version So I think I got the best of my nights. I'm really enjoying drinking a quality espresso from the comfort of my kitchen for the first time in my life. You should get an equally expensive grinder as the bean range isn't much larger than what they recommend for 15-17g of coffee. I've read that crema helps determine if you're drinking real espresso or not. If…

The cheapest entry-level car for a not-so-cheap hobby!

Oh my god I was so excited to try the new version of Flair in their manual espresso line! If you are an aspiring coffee maker who is getting bored of your French presses, V60s, Chemex, Aeropress, Mokapot etc and you really want to get a taste of Starbucks/Coffeeshop in the comfort of your own home, this is your entry point to espresso at home . For reference, this is my current NEO coffee setup: * 16g 1:2 ratio coffee (32g espresso out) * Timemore Slim grinder (10-11 clicks out, ymmv) *…

First impression - better quality than expected

There are many reviews on the internet about the Flair system so I will focus on my first impressions of the quality of the Flair Neo rather than using it to make espresso. I'll update this as soon as I get a chance to get a good shot and after I get a bottomless portafilter. My regular espresso machine needs to be sent in for service and I wanted a high-end espresso machine to take with our RV. The Flair + manual coffee grinder seemed like the perfect solution. As this is the cheapest model in
