For some reason they come in between plastic spacers. They are STRONG and compress so tightly that they are quite difficult to take apart. Excellent quality. Well polished and no visible flaws in the finish. We were told to avoid getting our fingers caught between magnets of this strength, so we treated them with the respect they deserve. Very strong N52 magnets NICELY packed in bubble wrap in a sturdy cardboard box. Couldn't be happier and just bought more of them. I just bought some 1/16 inch thick sheets. I commented on the image in the ad that it is much better to see the product with the image in a darker color than on a normally white background, this increases the visible contrast. the product is better.
