I bought this in late 2014 and it's now Spring 2020. I've used this on several desktops and laptops. Reception is good (not as good as my dual antenna Panda, but within 20% of Panda reception). I just plugged it into my Linux Mint 19.3 installation and it worked without any additional software. Doesn't work on 19.2, works on 19.3. Mint is based on Ubuntu if that helps. So it is durable, works on Win 7, Win 10 and at least Linux Mint 19.3.

Completely broken on Windows 10. Worked great on Windows 7. The Netgear software doesn't recognize the device when it's connected to a network, so not only do I use the Netgear Wireless Utility to fix this problem, but I can't get it to work at all now.
