FAST AND REALLY CHEAP

My Windows 10 computer found the Wi-Fi adapter right away, but I installed the offline driver. You must download the latest software in the first step of the installation and install this version. This is how you get the Genie control panel. The quick install was a bit vague.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Can't remember

This product works great when plugged in and working

This product keeps losing connection. Reinstall it every time. The problem with the language barrier and the phone line is marginal. We recommend not buying it until this issue is resolved

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Works great with network adapters

Bought to connect an old desktop computer without a wi-fi adapter to the internet in my house away from the router (and didn't want a cable). I used the CD to install the driver (otherwise I would never have done it unless there is no internet connection so I couldn't download it) and it immediately recognized my network and was able to log on. I ran a speed test and I'm getting 217MB down / 42MB up. I have gigabit service so this may affect my speed. In any case, run updates on your computer…

Works Great - Networking Products

I originally purchased this Netgear WiFi Adapter for a Dell XPS laptop that came with the Killer WiFi Adapter installed. When working with the remote desktop, I repeatedly lost the connection. In other cases, Killer Wireless has done just that. It dropped my Wi-Fi connection to my laptop and every other wireless device in my house. Nothing reconnects until I restart the modem and wireless router. I've tried to fix the problem to no avail. I finally bought this Netgear adapter and have never…

Easy access to Wi-Fi via USB network adapter

Easy setup. Installed on a Dell desktop in a room quite far from my Wi-Fi router. I get 3 bars in the utility that came with the device, but that's normal for what I'm doing with this computer. I wonder if any of the devices with an antenna will have better reception? But like most NetGear products, it's easy to set up and works reliably.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Works great: computers and accessories

Bought to connect an old desktop computer to the Internet without a WiFi adapter in a house remote from the router (and do not want to lay a cable). I used the CD to install the driver (otherwise I would never have done it unless there is no internet connection so I couldn't download it) and it immediately recognized my network and was able to log on. I ran a speed test and I'm getting 217MB down / 42MB up. I have gigabit service so this may affect my speed. In any case, run updates on your…

Useless to me - USB network adapter

When my built-in WiFi card failed, I looked for a replacement for the external USB. Tried TP-Link T2U Plus which worked pretty well but had a large high gain antenna. Decided to try this Netgear A6100 for smaller footprint and better speed. Unfortunately, this adapter was significantly slower than TP-Link. The best I could get was around 60Mbps while TP-Link T2U Plus gave me 160Mbps. I decided to stop at TP-Link and live with its antenna. And that's half the price of this Netgear. At least the…

INTERNET OR DISK DRIVE IS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION

It's really easy to use but to even get the software to work I had to download the software onto my laptop and a flash drive to install get my computer. It is supplied with an INSTALLATION DISK. Who uses floppy drives anymore!? A serious disadvantage for an easy-to-use device. After installing the software, just plug your device into a USB port and it works. Admittedly my computer doesn't register internet for a few seconds after waking from sleep or when first turning it on. All in all, it's…
