Cheap but effective replacement for Ooma Wireless Adapter

Update 2020 11 24: The device turns off at least once a day. You need to restart Ooma for it to work again. Not sure about the issue as Ooma is only 20ft from the router. One star away. A regular Ooma key can be expensive new, although it sells for $20 on eBay as a refurbishment. Found this solution (among many) via web search. The setup has yet to be done (172.27.35.1) with an Ooma device connected and a Netis WF2111 in the USB slot and Cat. 5 connected to your Ooma house and your computer…

this Wi-Fi stick works on Ooma Telo

Bought this NETIS WF2111 USB Wi-Fi Adapter for ten dollars here on Amazon. I use this on my parents' Ooma Telo because I don't want to pay for Ooma's expensive official $50 Wi-Fi to Bluetooth adapter. This NETIS WF2111 WiFi USB stick works just as well as the official ooma WiFi stick. Just plug it into the ooma's USB port. Then connect an Ethernet cable from your computer to the ooma. Works with Ooma Body.

I have an Ooma Telo with an Ooma Wi-Fi/BT adapter. This adapter must have had a bad connection somewhere, probably in the hinge, because every time I moved or even touched the Telo box, the WiFi went out.
