Was a size 11 1/2 NB Vazee shoe. I thought the size 11 1/2 in 1165v1 would be the same but I had to go to size 12. I love comfortable shoes. For walking 3-4 miles a day (size 12).

These are really comfortable shoes for people with wide feet. The only problem is that the laces don't tie very well. I have to tie them several times a day, which is not typical for me with my other three shoes for everyday use. Suitable for everyday use and sports.

One item that most people don't want to buy online is shoes. So many things can go wrong and the most important thing is alignment. I am completely satisfied with the New Balance Fresh Foam 1165 V1 hiking shoes. The product is comfortable, breathable and lightweight and fits perfectly. I like the understated style. I designed them as casual everyday shoes. I love the highly breathable upper which helps keep my feet cool. I like the foam sole. It offers good cushioning and, despite the complaints in the test, feels stiff and flexes comfortably on the foot. However, it is at least half a size shorter than my New Balance 992. It wasn't what I expected at all. They fit well and are a good shoe, but the hype and reviews about how 'soft' they are are misleading in my opinion. The soft foam in the inner lining is about 3/16 of an inch, and the Fresh Foam midsole feels just as minimal. It has very little arch support and no midfoot support. I already have NB shoes, size 11.5 2E wide. I need wide shoes and after reading the reviews that they can run small I ordered two different sizes - 11.5 2E and 12 4E, adding a half size and a little more width. The design of these shoes features a narrow toe. The middle is nice and wide, but the tip tapers right where your toes are. My toes don't point, they're as wide as my foot!
