    Great running shoes for me

Feels great on foot. Like a room in a box. Very well ventilated. Excellent outsole for stability and comfort. Other NBs of this size fit well on the left and right. It is 1/4 size larger than the left foot. Wearing a thicker sock is not enough. I have two other 890s of this version in the same size - no problem.

    Pros
    • A great iteration of the proven approach to lightweight and fast training shoes. Solid in every way.
    Cons
    • They are short lived, inferior, look great but are made of cheap material, only lasted about 3 months.

    Nice sneak my verdict

I've only been wearing NB since 2015. I've had 4 pairs of version 6s which I usually wear for shorts for racing and speed work (cool). They feel really good after about 60 miles so far. I like it a lot better than Wongo4.

    Pros
    • Very comfortable and fits well
    Cons
    • The photo tells the story. I run about 10 miles a week. So after about 250 km. No Bueno New Balance.

Great fit! -- my new rating

So comfortable and the fit was perfect! Since I am a woman, I ordered the width 7.5 instead of 9. I suppose this shoe would be great for a runner, but not for being on your feet all day, it's not made for that.

    Pros
    • Very nice, comfortable and super light shoe
    Cons
    • Can cause leg pain

    Excellent sports shoes

Bought for my husband. The fit was perfect from the start. He wears width 9.5. It offers comfort and support in sports shoes.

    Pros
    • The robust construction ensures a long service life even with frequent use.
    Cons
    • May cause leg fatigue

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

    Narrow shoes in my review.

I brought these shoes in size 2E. Unfortunately they were too tight so I had to return them for another 4E shoe as they were not available for this shoe. Although the price and quality was excellent.

    Pros
    • Great shoes; an improvement over the previous 890. Better support and wider coverage.
    Cons
    • Run

    Nice shoes in my review.

Bought these to get started on an indoor treadmill but in the end it's a nice shoe that feels good even for an hour at a low speed. would recommend.

    Pros
    • Another great shoe from New Balance. Fits perfectly. Very convenient.
    Cons
    • The toe may be too narrow

Outsole worn out after a few months

I really liked the shoes. They were light and comfortable. However, the outsole wore out after about 3 months of fairly moderate use, about 10 miles of walking per week. So this shoe was only good for walking about 100 miles. They shouldn't wear out that quickly.

    Pros
    • Fits true to size
    Cons
    • traction is bad

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Super soft, super comfortable

I have medium sized feet and they fit snugly with no hot spots or rubbing. And depreciation is unrealistic. One thing the sole doesn't seem to be very durable but since I only use it indoors I'm not worried about that. Something to consider if most of your activities are outdoors.

    Pros
    • The lightweight design allows for more freedom of movement and less fatigue during long training sessions.
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for high-intensity workouts

Pretty small compared to most other New Balance running shoes.

The shoes were nice and well made, but fit at least 1 size smaller. It was also designed to keep people from twisting their ankles, it literally squeezed my ankle so hard it hurt a little.

    Pros
    • The elliptical cross trainer's design offers training versatility by combining multiple exercise forms.
    Cons
    • Not suitable for running

    Walk like on a cloud

Probably the most comfortable trainer I've used in years. The ride is like a racing shoe with a simultaneous blend of impact and cushioning. That fuel cell in the middle is really amazing. Deducted 1 star because I felt the heel/tongue was over-padded and the front mesh could be a little more breathable like the 1500s. But! I have this on sale for $68, so overall well above what you would expect from a sub-$100 machine.

    Pros
    • Lace-up closure offers customizable seal and adjustability
    Cons
    • Can't offer enough support

Good shoes, not YOU: my review

The shoes are ok but the toe box is narrower than the 890v7 (EE). I really liked v7, so handy! I got the v8 (also EE) hoping for the same experience but due to pain in my narrow toes I left them to walk. I wish I had realized that sooner!

    Pros
    • Great shoes! Run at least 30 miles a week in it - great so far - wore it for a month.
    Cons
    • Arch support is insufficient

    890 are great: my rating

At first the landing was a little tight. After the first run they seem to have loosened up a bit. I'm a big fan of the 890 series and so far this is a winner.

    Pros
    • Perfect for the size, nice finish
    Cons
    • May cause blisters

    Fuel cell disappointment

Yes. owned an earlier version of the 890. The outsole on the previous version was stable and wore well. The fuel cell is significantly less stable and is already showing signs of wear. As a longtime New Balance user, their "experiments" have me looking elsewhere.

    Pros
    • Great for a small house
    Cons
    • All right

The insoles fell apart after a few weeks.

The insoles were bonded very poorly (or not at all) to the inside of the shoe. I regularly take off my shoes to fix the soles, otherwise I get blisters on my heels. I wish New Balance would use some sort of super cement or something to hold the sole in place for the life of the shoe. As long as the sole inside doesn't irritate the ever living madman in my heels, the shoes are fine. absolutely wonderful. The color is fantastic, the quality on the outside is phenomenal. Just a minor (big)…
