These are great shoes! They're cute and stylish, but not too wild. My 8 year old son loves them and says they fit well. I would say the average width could be a little wider than most which works well for my son.

I like wearing these shoes very much. I was happy to find a light colored shoe that fits my XW feet. I can put insoles in my shoes without removing the insoles. I have a hard time finding women's shoes in size XW and beautiful colors, this is exactly what I was looking for. The shoes are also very comfortable. I wear 6.5 XW in boys shoe size.

According to my son, these shoes are fine. They are well made with a removable insert. He said the sole wasn't as resilient as it was on his last pair of shoes. Because he has heel problems, he needs a soft enough sole, and it's not as soft as he would like. There is very little arch support, which is good for him. He doesn't like having a high arch support pressing down on his leg. They fit well and are true to size. I would say these shoes are very good for most kids and will probably hold up

The reviews for this shoe are a bit confusing as it seems the velcro version and the lace up version are mixed on the same page. The size chart is also a bit confusing. I wasn't 100% sure if I would get the right size for my child because a size 3 is called 'baby' and my grandson is 8 years old and wears a size 3 shoe that we don't call 'baby'. Size 3. These shoes are very high quality and are great for my son who has a 2XW foot. We bought Saucony but the quality just didn't let them last long. We bought elastic shoelaces so he can easily put them on and take them off. New Balance is a great company and being made in the USA is a bonus. I would be happy to support you for many years to come.

I ordered these for my nine year old son and he loves them. They fit well, as do other New Balance sneakers. We have always been happy with New Balance. We were looking for a pair of basic trainers that would go with most of his clothes and are just right for him. Glad to find some basic colors among all the neons!

New Balance is the only brand that suits my son very well. He wears his sneakers every day and wears them out. It's very gross and clumsy and we always get our money's worth with the purchase of New Balance shoes. I want the laces to hold up better so they stay knotted.

New Balance is our favorite shoe for our four year old with a roomy fit. We bought this pair to teach him to "tie his shoelaces" but we feel it's too early and my son doesn't wear them too often for that reason.

I bought it because it said "recommended by the orthopedist". It didn't disappoint. It's super comfortable. These are still my favorite shoes to this day. I plan on getting a few more and maybe gifting other family members. I gave my husband a pair when I got my own and he loves them. I just wish they'd also made a style where it's laceless and no laces.

For some reason, New Balance is the only athletic shoe company on the planet that makes "big kid" shoes in large widths. I am so thankful for that, otherwise my 10 year old son would have been forced to go barefoot. This is his favorite brand and style of shoe. He usually just buys a pair and wears them every day until they wear out (they last 6-8 months).

Last 3 years I have bought New Balance 888xw for my granddaughter. She switched from Orthopedics to UCB but still needs XW. These shoes always fit great right out of the box. Panels can be removed to create legroom. I liked their color, gray with pink, and I bought the size you had in stock. They are too big but my granddaughter will grow up in them. I just wish they would suggest other colors for the 888xw tie.
