pain relief! - Trail running

I have arthritis in both my legs. I've tried Brooks, Kurus, ortofeet and a few other expensive shoes. I've tried adidas, hey guys, nikes, whatever. My grandma suggested them and I ended up buying a pair and damn I wish I had bought them years ago. Now I have two pairs, different colors but the same style, and my feet have never felt so relieved. Thank you for these shoes and please never put them down!

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Modernity

Very narrow undercarriage

I ended up sending them back because they were very narrow. I've never had to buy "wide" shoes, but in them my legs arched at the sides. The length was perfect. Along with the snug fit, the seam connecting the tongue to the bottom of the shoe rubbed the sides of my foot and caused blisters when I tried this. This would be my first pair of New Balance shoes, so maybe they just make their shoes narrower than I'm used to?

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some flaws

Comfortable shoe but lacks traction with quality hiking/trail shoes.

New Balance offers good forefoot and heel protection but poor ankle support. The eyelids of the laces don't go as far as most sneakers, so you can't tie the shoe to fit snugly around your ankles. If you walk in mud or mud the shoe works well but slips and slides on gravel roads and grass. All in all, not a bad trail running shoe, but not the best for New Balance either.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Rosette required

Renewal is not just another pretty face

Couldn't be happier. I ordered a second pair of these shoes as the midsole of my first one failed, which is perfectly normal for a mid-range shoe after about 400 miles without a single problem. Bought NB for years because they have a large width. Ordered five different wide pairs hoping the reduced ones would fit. They weren't square and outdated. But these V1's are great, they fit like a glove and I'm happy to be back out on the trails in comfortable shoes with a comfy, grippy sole. Oh, and…

Light, elastic, breathable Bliss

Very comfortable, like all new scales. I'm a size 9 wide and they fit just right. I've only ridden it about 25 miles in the last 3 days. My feet are prone to blistering and I only have 1 on the ball of my foot after an 8 mile day, half of which was downhill. Haven't crossed water yet, but I'm wondering how well they will drain off the plastic on the edges of the mesh. They're light and springy and I plan to wear them hiking this season (I just got a notification to get rid of hiking shoes).

Shoes fit like a glove, but only laced up

This shoe fits me like a glove, but only laced up. These aren't shoes that you just slip on and off casually, you have to put your foot down carefully and pin the seams at the tongue on the sides - this was mentioned in another post - and then you can feel how well they fit. I'm not sure how well they'll hold up to serious running or trail use as they can't compete with Brooks etc but the NB seems to be carving its own niche as standout mid-range models and that's of course the main attraction…

Amazing shoes: shoes

I bought this shoe to run on a dirt road. I used it for an easy/intermediate hiking route to test the comfort. I could walk all day because they were so comfortable. I don't go because I'm afraid of snakes, but I honestly questioned my fear because of the shoes. Yes, the shoes were damn good. I was going down a slippery steep section and only slipped because I was leaning forward. I was more confident the second time around and these shoes really clung to the slippery/steep trail that has been…

Great shoes. Look at a few reviews to see if there's a design flaw

PRO: I'm 14 and they fit perfectly Very comfortable and light Most comfortable shoes I've bought for work. was on a steak of great shoes that I couldn't redeem due to my foot size. Cons: Great view. but it doesn't appear to be a very robust design. The inner toe has a layer of leather-like material that began to tear shortly after purchase. It's on both shoes so looks like a defect unless I got a defective pair. They stopped testing pretty soon, but that would be bad for a good-looking shoe if…

Good shoe for mountain trails

The high part at the back that goes over the heel behind the ankle makes these shoes perfect for mountain trails. It fits snugly around the ankle to keep rocks, spikes and sharp grass out of the shoe. The mesh material is quite dense and does not let in small particles. We have a lot of cheatgrass here with these sharp seeds that go through your socks, they get into your shoes, they go through most mesh materials and eventually go through the mesh and your shoes, but I haven't had a chance to…

Pros
  • Comfortable to wear
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok
