It's enough for what you pay for

I have both small and large versions. I'm happy with that. I use it for new plants and leave one side of the net down just enough for guppies to get in. The only downside is that the net is loose and fish can be caught, but that's a small chance. So this brand is better than the big white one I bought.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Read because it matters.

First, not a single guppy baby stayed inside the fence, and second, those who didn't get out were suffocated in the net. I got over the devastation and now I'm totally angry. I would like to know the factory(s) that make this product and please help me list the brands that support it.

  • Sturdy Construction

Works well with cichlids

Pretty good product however the base is slightly warped which caused some installation problems. The mesh was tricky to put on because it's so tight, but assembly took no more than 5 minutes! Make sure you get that thing out. The first thing my girl did was swim back to the other tankmates. I would suggest that my larger 6″ cichlids would need the bottom removed, but for their size (around 2″-3″) this works great.

  • Easy to use

Disappointing! suitable for spawning tanks

I thought I had found the perfect hatchery tank, but in my show tank I saw all the juveniles swimming straight out of the holes in the mesh and into the mouths of the adult fish. Don't buy this for juveniles, it will work once the juveniles have grown a few weeks, but this is counterproductive! This serves as an insulator for the adult fish. Apart from the holes in the net being too big for the fry this little tank would get a 5 star rating. For this to work, the company needs to deploy a…

But works great. best in category Fish & Aquatic Pets

This grow box works much better than the ones I bought from Pet Smart. The one in the Pet Smart is supposed to be big but it was too small, my guppies looked so introverted which often resulted in one of them kind of running away. This has more space and part of the droppings can fall through the net. The downside is that it sticks to glass so well that one of my other fish in the tank got caught between the glass and the mesh and died. I removed the bottom suction cups and placed one in the…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • The list will be long.

I am a member of the Tropical Fish Club and have recently started farming Rainbow Fish. The young fish are tiny and spend their first weeks in the "German Breeding Ring". But once they're about half an inch long, they need more room. However, they must not be released into a large aquarium, otherwise they will lose the fight for food. I ordered it and it works way better than I thought it would. Very easy to assemble. Just in case I used a dab of superglue (aquarium safe) on each part during…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Socket Required

Good and does the job

Lacked the appearance of detailed instructions as pictured. Some steps are not included so I made a video and hopefully it will be helpful. I used my pea brain to figure it out. Okay, actually it's a five dollar product. But it helps, at least for me. As far as I know it worked perfectly, and no free fried snacks for dear mama. The day after I placed my female molly I noticed tiny fry resting on the net. Perhaps this isolation made mom feel comfortable enough to dump some of the kids. At first…
