Definitely sees in the dark at a very long distance. The picture is clear enough. To me it's just a toy as it has no practical use for it other than viewing nocturnal creatures.

Bought for hunting. I'm not made of money, that's why I chose this. It works out. Maybe you can do 50 meters. I used this when it was still dark to see the critters before the hunting lessons started.

At first I was disappointed, but I realized that I had to manually focus the lens! After I did that, everything is fine and works great. Not necessarily for (Bob), but it will be a handy tool at night when you want to avoid trouble and not be noticed. Costs money.

I've had several Night Owl products. This is good for an open field within 100 yards. This is not a night vision enhancer. That's IR, which means it doesn't give a shit from afar. If there are bushes or obstacles of any kind, you won't be able to see behind them due to the shadow that the IR light casts. It would be okay to search a flat ranch or farm for predators. But that's about it. I return mine.

For a buyer who expects to get a little more than hundred dollars of military equipment and then buys this product and leaves a bad review. Please go ahead and post your opinion elsewhere. I almost didn't buy this item because some of the reviews were left by people who want something for next to nothing. I also have expectations when I buy something. Today I received the device. Nicely packaged and safe. First of all, this device is small and fits perfectly in a medium-sized hand. I purchased this item based on a real2all1 review. Its rating is correct except that it requires 3 AA batteries. Here are some helpful tips I also learned: 1.
