I bought this camera because of the very good built in zoom lens. Have used other cameras and was disappointed with their zoom capabilities. This one has a much wider angle than most at maximum zoom (the default when it's on) so it's great indoors when you want to include as many people in your photo as possible. I bought this camera almost a year ago and haven't done much with it other than a few test shots. Before buying it, one reviewer said it could take 960 shots without changing batteries, and while some people don't like the fact that it uses AA batteries, that's actually what made me buy this camera.
