Thorough cleaning and effective stain removal.

A few years old washed horse blankets with piss and dropping stains. Made blankets that I thought needed replacing fresh and clean. Reduces unsightly blemishes to a barely noticeable appearance. If you didn't know the stains were there, you wouldn't notice them without a thorough inspection. Removes odors from mold that has been stored for a long time. Happy with the product and will buy again.

Professional results at home

I usually wash and treat my duvets professionally every year and I have credited myself with washing my duvets a few times with regular detergent or Orvis. This was my first time buying a blanket cleaner and I am very happy with the results. I'm comfortable making my own blankets and I say this is someone who has had horses for over 30 years and has never washed their blankets.

The only thing I will now use for my blankets

Holy cow! I'm a convert for life! My horse works 24/7 and loves the red clay mud we have here so I'm sure you can imagine what her blankets look like at the end of the season. With regular laundry detergent, it usually takes 2 washes and 1 or 2 rinses (in a very large commercial washing machine -$$$!) to clean blankets - ONE WASH CYCLE (and two blankets per washing machine!) with this magical fairy dust, and hers Blankets were so clean I didn't want to put them on her! I'm sorry Tide, you lost.

Ruined my Rambo, not recommended

This product made my expensive Rambo raincoat greasy and NOT AT ALL WATERPROOF. The duvet was still waterproof, but it had started to soak up water in places. Now, after impregnation, the entire blanket absorbs water in both layers. I followed the manufacturer's instructions and purchased Nikwax Wash and washed the sheet before using the waterproofing product. I followed the impregnation instructions and was very disappointed with the result. I do not recommend this product. I'm trying to findโ€ฆ

Simply the best! Best in Saddles & Accessories

When it doesn't rain it snows in Maine this time of year and it keeps my horse dry 24/7. This will revive the old ceiling. Other horses have hung out blankets to dry after a big storm, but my horse (and others who use Nikwax) is completely dry and happy ๐Ÿ™‚. It is known that this is the ONLY waterproofing product that works 100%! This gives you peace of mind that your horse won't get wet if you don't come into the stable that day. Talk about reselling your rugs (when your horse grows up) ifโ€ฆ

This stuff is pretty good. I prepare sheets for horses with.

This material is very good. I prep horse sheets with Resolve spray for nasty stuff and also use a roller to remove the hair so I don't compromise my washing machine (front load). I use a blanket system that I buy from Schneider's Tack. You can get a pad with padding according to your needs and then put the sheet on top and align the slots with both. Anyway, I've been using this for years and this detergent for years too. The water-repellent topsheet comes out well with this wash. Nikwax offersโ€ฆ

HORSE BLANKS โ€“ 33 oz Bottle Proof ONLY 2 BLANKS!

I've been using carpet cleaner and this 33 ounce bottle washes a few quilts (add 5 or 7 ounces for hard water). I give the laundry 5 stars. CARPET SAFE ADD 17 oz PER WASH. So 1 33oz bottle only fits 2 duvets. As I only checked 2 duvets and the price I give 4 stars. I wish I knew how many blankets it will cover so I can order 2 bottles at a time (I have 4 blankets). It seems to have worked, when I took it out of the washing machine I saw that some water had collected. As for some of the reviewsโ€ฆ

Updated February 2021 Works well.

I've been using it in Oregon for a year now where it rains and gets muddy. I think it's doing a great job. I first soak the carpet in one of those dirt buckets overnight to soften all the dirt and grime, then drain it, put it in the washer, add 5 ounces of carpet detergent and do a 2-rinse hand towel load. so they get another good bath and all the soap is washed away. I have a POS washer, so I don't care if I kill it with horsehair, but you can treat yours differently. I hang it out of theโ€ฆ
