Excellent material! on weather protection

I have used this on both a pair of leather work gloves and a pair of leather work boots and it has worked great on both. I sprayed the coat every day for three days and both stayed dry while working in the rain. I still have enough in the jar for another pair of gloves. A very, very good thing indeed!

  • Good thing

DO NOT BUY - Building Materials

I bought this product to waterproof my new leather boots. There was a white coating on the boots. I tried to contact this company to find out how to remove the wax without ruining my shoes but they didn't answer me. I am very disappointed in this product as it does NOT protect the skin.

Goes well with color

I was skeptical about changing the color of my brown leather hat. It was new so cleaning wasn't a problem. I went outside and applied the product as directed, wiping off excess spray and letting it dry. Then I added another layer just to be sure. The color stayed the same and the product added a matte sheen which I like. Haven't worn it in the rain yet, but when I do, it will. Excellent purchase.

No aerosol and not tested on animals! And it works great!

I always make waterproof new shoes but this time I was looking for something that is not aerosol and preferably not tested on animals. I found this and it worked great! Please note that there are no stains, but the nubuck shoes have a small amount of stains, just make sure all stains are gone before drying. I wore my treated tennis shoes in the rain and they shone beautifully. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Some problems

Poor building material formulation

I can't understand why a manufacturer would try to make a water based waterproofing spray. If the product works even a little, applying a second coat is almost impossible as it starts to roll. One coat of this product is not enough to provide significant water and dirt repellency, but applying a second coat will result in white spots all over. I would definitely not recommend this product.

Not suitable for building materials

I processed a pair of snake boots that I wear to work every weekend. Toe and heel are made of leather, the rest is made of Gore-Tex fabric. The following Monday I had the opportunity to test the water resistance as it rained during the night and the vegetation I had to walk on was very wet. My day started at 7:30 am and by 10:30 am I could already feel my boots starting to get wet. By 1pm the water had officially soaked my socks. You call it waterproof?!

Pros
  • Easy to use

Goes perfectly with my Chaco Kanarra women's running shoes. .

Perfect match for my Chaco Kanarra women's running shoes. I used a damp paper towel to wipe them down and then sprayed them. I think I ended up applying 3 coats but the 3rd coat didn't last long, just kept rolling and dripping. I think actually wiping them might be key. I think the directions suggest that you reapply the old waterproofing, but on the new shoes, the moisture seems to have soaked the waterproofing a bit. Worked very well. I've been out for several hours in light rain (greater…

I'm so glad I found this waterproofing spray

I'm so glad I found this waterproofing spray. I used it on a pair of Gore-Tex boots that were so-so waterproof. The addition of this spray did such a great job. I was riding very deep, muddy trails in the rain in Ireland and my boots were completely covered in mud but my feet stayed completely dry. At the end of each hike, I even dunked my boots in puddles just under the toe of my boots and swung them around for a few minutes to wash away all the dirt. My feet stayed dry. Between the Goretex…

Super as headgear, best weather protection

I bought this while trying to find a way to restore the water resistance of my hat. I have a felt hat that I love very much. But over time it has lost most of its water resistance. I have a hat cover to make it fully waterproof, but that's not always practical when it's snowing lightly. Based on recommendations from the hat manufacturer's website, I used it. First brush your hat. Then apply a layer of spray and wipe off. I used blue shop towels. let it dry Apply a second layer. I think I…
