Powerful Illumination for Racing: NiteRider Pro 2200 Race Headlight Review

Nite Rider products are great. The seller - Hudson Outdoor Sports - has terrible customer service. The cable was missing. At first they quickly replied that they would send me a telegram "in a few weeks". That was a few months ago and they are not responding to my later requests. Buy the Nite Rider, just don't buy it from Hudson.

The flashlight itself is compact and very powerful. I have used it on my bike as well as a headlamp with an available head strap. The battery stays on the bike frame very reliably, especially compared to my old bike light, and very powerful for its compact size. The sensor on the device is also very practical. All in all a fantastic lamp with well thought-out details and accessories.

This item is Rocks. Super bright for 3+ hours on all but the brightest settings (which is only needed for technical routes) and waterproof, durable on uneven bars. Yes, it's expensive, but if you're driving after sunset and need to see the road (and not just let oncoming traffic see you), then this is for you. With the exception of touring and gravel riding / I'd say that's overkill for road cyclists.

It's quite bright I have a Niterider Lumina 1200 as a backup and they're basically the same brightness level secondly it eats up the battery quickly thirdly the charge connector is proprietary and is NOT used and easily damaged. I used this at MOAB at night and the connector came loose leaving me in the dark and yes I have video. Don't worry, buy Magicshine 6500 instead for the same price.

I have it 18 months. I use it to see and be seen when I'm roller skating in my area. I use the highest settings so I can see and be seen the road conditions. I ride about 80 minutes and the battery lasts the whole time. The flashlight is attached to my helmet and the battery is in my hydration bladder. Updated 10/15/19 4 ⭐️After talking to the support team they sent me another replacement. I love the light but am now deducting a star for reliability. I will update if anything changes.
