Broke after a month

I attached it to my Topeak saddlebag. Today, after only a few rides (maybe 150 miles), the headlight clip broke off. This is the second of these lights I've had, both failed with their attachment mechanism, I won't be buying any more taillights from NiteRider (which is a shame because their front lights are great).

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

good light. But not the best mount

Can't put into words how much I love this flashlight. It's bright enough to be seen from afar. The battery life is exceptional. But in the last year I've lost two of these lights because they fell out of their brackets. It seems like plastic doesn't last forever and you look at it and it's gone. That's the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. 'Cause I'm missing my light now

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Limited battery life

Overall I am disappointed with the device. While it's bright and the laser option is handy, the very short battery life and poorly designed device fall short. I had to modify the mounting clip by cutting off the rubber straps, drilling holes in the plastic frame and zip tying the light to my bike's pannier rack. Ugly but functional approach. The battery lasts less than 1.0 hour on high settings and takes about 3 hours to charge (with a 2.0A charger). I would only recommend this flashlight for…

The brightest taillight I've ever used

I was riding my bike one day and noticed how bright and visible the rider's taillight was in front of me. When I stopped I asked what that lantern was and bought it immediately. This light is a bit pricey for a taillight, but it's worth it. I invested in a really good headlight but didn't want to spend too much on a tail light because I've never seen one that was worth it. That light changed my mind. This flashlight has 7 modes, although I usually only use one of them. The 3 modes also allow…

Visible during the day. Best Accessory

I really like lasertracks, but another driver with me says it's an unnecessary distraction that can lead to people coming up to me trying to figure out what it is. However, this is a serious point of view that I like. Decide for yourself, I like laser tracks. I found that super bright mode is too bright at night when other drivers are following you. This is undeniable. Also, I've been told it's likely to disable some vehicle drivers. At the same time, however, many cars are changing lanes to…

Battery life is very poor, but I love laser beams.

I've had a lot of flashing taillights and most of them over the last few weeks on a couple of AA batteries. This thing flashes (not constantly and doesn't contain two laser beams) only lasts an hour, and the charge indicator says it's dying. It is a pity! I love the two laser beams going around the bike and people actually stopped me to ask how I do it so obviously it's a pretty bright light. See attached photos. If it weren't for the cool laser beams, I'd rate it about two stars for the…
