I loved the look, feel and fit of this robe. But within 9 months of hanging it on a very round coat hook with no sharp edges, the fabric ripped - and not at the seam. Very disappointing as it is not a cheap bathrobe.

I bought the XL based on the reviews I read. I could maybe go with L. I'm 5'11", 220 pounds and have a lot of space. Better a little bigger than too tight. Also, I have to lift it up a bit when climbing stairs or stumble. Very soft and absorbent. Handy for relaxing.

I was trying to find quality clothes at a reasonable price and that's it. I have "window glass checker blue/red". The picture on the web is correct, but I think it's a little darker in real life, there is less difference between the contrasting scarf and the outer flannel. I bought a size S, I'm a 5ft 7in female and 128lbs. This robe fits me exactly the way I want it. soft. It also fits my husband who is 5ft 9in, 175lbs and 44in shoulders. It reached to his ankles, the sleeves reached to the knuckles of his thumb and it looked tailor made for him. So I would say if you are between these sizes it will fit you perfectly. If less, it will be too big, if more, then one size more.

I've worn very heavy terry robes for many years, but this one is warmer, lighter and more comfortable. The double layer construction, flannel on the outside and fleece on the inside is great.
