The cushion is ok if you are buying a smaller rug. I have an 8' x 12' rug. The underlay is in two pieces sewn together with a seam that is visible with the rug above and as you walk across the rug you can feel the stitching as the rest of the rug lies flat.

WARNING, this rug stuck to my painted concrete floors and ruined them in less than a week! Do not use if you have painted concrete floors. I'm fed up, and it's almost impossible to remove the leftovers from the floor. So sad and disappointed with this product. It's not safe for floors!

Works great! I was concerned it might not hold up as well, but once I put it down I couldn't even drag it to the ground to adjust, I had to lift it all the way up to change position even a little. My animals bully him all the time and he still hasn't moved. I've had it for two months now and in that time it hasn't deteriorated at all. The liner itself is very thin so don't expect it to add real cushioning, but I think they sell thicker ones that cost a bit more.

This made me buy more! Now I have one under every carpet in my house. It is great! I used to get so frustrated because every time my dogs ran and played they would tuck the edges of the rugs or even bang the rugs against the wall in a twisted heap. With these rugs the rugs actually stay flat to the floor and can withstand my Labradoodles running back and forth or playing tug! I no longer have to smooth carpets several times a day! I'm a fan!

Slightly larger than my 5x7 rugs which was great because it extends to the edges and I used the trim under the smaller rugs. Adds a little softness to our woven rugs, but if you're under 10 years old you'll probably find it awkward to throw on the floor. Most importantly, as they were for my boys rooms, the carpets didn't move (which was almost annoying when I tried to rearrange them a little myself, ha!) Fantastic cushion. We used it under a giant plush rug we bought for our hardwood floors. The carpet and pillow didn't move at all which is great. Also, I lift it up from time to time to make sure it doesn't stick to the wooden floor and is easy to lift. The only reason I am deducting 1 star is that there is a seam where they had to sew the pieces together, probably because I ordered 8x10 which is quite large and I was concerned I could feel the seam under the rug could, but i can no, and that's
