Nordic Pure 14X24X1 MERV 8 Pleated Furnace Air Filter Review

These filters look very sturdy and fit my vent perfectly on the first try. I need a good filter in my house as I have two cats and a mechanic and they fill the bill. It's a good name and an average MERV rating, meaning it doesn't weigh my system down (for a higher rating) and doesn't filter enough (for a lower MERV rating). So far, so good. Great fit at a great price and keeps my system quiet and filtering like it should.

This was the first filter that actually fitted. In the past, most of the filters I've used were too tight on the case and had to be bent slightly to fit the case. This one just fits. On the other hand, there was no MERV rating printed on the filter itself. Yes, the box was labeled MERV 8, but there was no rating label on the items inside. One just wonders if a bug was installed with the wrong product in the box the end user wouldn't notice the difference. I would give five stars if each filter…

I never knew what MERV reviews were so we just bought the best allergen filter and accessories for our stoves when we went to our local hardware store.
