Large Grater.: Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

This is a gift for a bachelor party. As long as they don't use it I can't rate the durability. It is very similar to the one I have which is about 25 years old. So assuming a similar product, it should hold up. I prefer this to using a microplane. The memory holds a nutmeg, but that's about all it takes considering how little you're using at a time. The price was great. I went to 3-4 stores looking for a Nitmega grater. On my last unsuccessful search, I got a slap in the face and wondered why I

These two were a gift

Two ladies I met recently were unfamiliar with the flavor that grated nutmeg imparts - I bought them a grater and used some of my nutmeg stash separately (thanks Revane, they're amazing!) Unfortunately, the spring ripped the nutmeg when it was almost whole! THIS grater works perfectly. It's very sharp, so you have to be careful of the position of your fingers when grating, but it also does a very good job with the very dry and hard nutmeg outer layer. As someone else mentioned, the top reservoir looks small but actually holds a pretty…

Works but is a little spooky

Hey, you get what you pay for, right? This product totally gets the job done, but if I were to do it again I'd spend a little more money for a grater I'm not afraid of. Like I said, she grinds nutmeg. Brilliant! If you only need a little nutmeg, you can sprinkle it directly on top of the eggnog - no problem. My biggest problem is that when I get about halfway through the nutmeg (however you want to say it), my fingers get closer to the grater and I start to get a little nervous. When the nutmeg
