Please note this is a finishing abrasive and will not abrade metal like wet/dry paper of the same grit. The size is also a bit small for anything other than finishing small areas. However, the product is exactly as advertised and well made for its intended purpose.

They don't last that long and the foam tears easily. Norton is launching another line of foam sanding pads that appear to be "professional" products and work very well. I found these at my local woodworking shop and found them to be a much better choice.

Norton 82083 5X 220 Grit Contour Sanding Pads is actually on TWO (2) SANDING PADS. Nowhere in the description does it say it only comes with 2 sanding pads. As the name suggests, Norton would have you believe there are five (5) sanding pads. Haven't tried them yet. Disappointed from the start.

Once you use one of these, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them. Ideal for grinding curved shapes of round spindles and best of all it's washable and reusable. The first is not worn out yet! Excellent purchase!

I don't think I can go back to regular sandpaper or sanding blocks - this product is much easier to use and gives great results. My sanding projects often have detail that cannot be achieved with regular sandpaper or blocks. These sanding pads bend slightly to get to those spots.
