Description of ๐Ÿ’Ž Enhanced Norton Utility: Premium Silicon Carbide Overall for Unmatched Performance

100-grit for repairing, sharpening, and maintaining coarse cutting edges on gardening and other cutting tools. Silicon carbide to sharpen to moderate tolerances when the speed of sharpening is more important than the fineness of the cutting edge. File blade is harder than metal, for longer tool life than with a steel file. Four flat faces hold their shape for uniform filing. Wooden handle provides comfortable grip.

The right tool for external or remote locations.

Bought on the advice of an article in Popular Mechanics magazine. It seemed ideal for sharpening things at work or in remote locations where you don't have all your usual tools, electricity, etc. I've noticed some complaints about this. I don't have such a problem with it. To test this, I sharpened a lawnmower blade. It worked. Obviously a bit more work than an electric grinder. I did this to test feasibility. I believe it will work in all these weird cases. It's small enough to fit in yourโ€ฆ

Designed for use with knives for mechanical insulation products.

I haven't even used this stone for a handle but a few people really thought it would work for lawn mower blades and gave it a star. bandage knife. No big jagged fir blades, but if there are any. Simply sharpen the non-jagged edge until it's nice, then go over the jagged area once to smooth the remaining rough edge. This stone normally roughens your blade and gives the excellent cutting edge needed to easily cut tough fiberglass pipe coatings and non-rigid foil-wrapped insulation.

Not quite happy.

It was recommended by the creator of YouTube for sharpening, especially mower blades. I ordered it. When it came time to sharpen a lawn mower blade, I used it. It's not as aggressive as using an angle grinder with a grinding wheel, so it's easier to control and maintain the correct sharpening angle, not remove too much metal, and do a good job. However, the abrasive portion of the tool throws abrasive grit at an alarming rate. I don't know if mine was done wrong, but at the rate it's losingโ€ฆ
