It's ok, the velcro comes off and the shoes come off in the water. This happens all too often, no matter how tight you tighten the strap around your foot. I would not recommend this design. After a while it becomes a pain.

We just bought these for my son they seem durable, the bottom is firm, not flimsy or flimsy at all, they just have my double stitching I don't like them when I try them on, they require a bit of work as the hole to put your foot in is the only space you get without losing further, but other than that we're good to go.

I gave 5 stars because of the very good construction of this shoe. The problem wasn't the shoe, it was my grandson's rather thick foot. He loved them and felt like a big boy in them. He'll wear them more than beachwear because they're comfortable and he hasn't actually taken them off - still outrageous. I really like this shoe so I just removed the stitching that tightened the toe box and altered it to fit his foot.

This is a good product, but its size and trying to turn it on and off is very difficult. My son wears a size 2.5. I ordered him 3. They were so tight I ordered 4. Once inside, he says they're comfortable and definitely long enough, but the opening is ridiculous. Since they come with an ankle strap, they can make the hole a little bigger. The colors are fun.

I bought two pairs, blue size 4 for my 8 year old and pink size 12 for my 5 year old. Both fit as expected and I was pleased with how easy they were to put on and take off. We bought these for our annual trip to Maine when the kids go in and out of the lake all day every day. The pink ones held up great but the stitching holding the blue couple's lanyard tore on one boot and by day five they were unusable. I suppose I could sew them together, but instead I'd throw them away and try a different…

The elastic for tightening the heel has worn out after just a month. My 2 year old grandson loves walking on the wet grass and beach but they don't linger anymore so they are useless. The insole fell out too. The New Sunville brand toddler blue black aqua socks are your best choice. Last year they lasted all summer. This year I bought a size up but they seem to be too narrow for Fred Flintstone's foot. :)) I only bought these NORTYs because they are a bit wider. upset.
