Less stressful (and cheaper) testing my cat's urine at home

These are the same tests I did at the veterinary office. Place them in an empty bowl so you can collect (or test with a dipstick) a urine sample from your cat. No stress for both of us and no need to bring a cat. I bought a box of 6 to have on hand. One less thing to worry about.

Pros
  • Easy to read panel
Cons
  • Not sure

Can't it come in larger numbers?

More money is not possible? My cat pissed all over her paws and splattered the area trying to cover herself with this litter so tracked her down on the floor. I have a cat who is very concerned about cleanliness thank goodness. I don't think they thought about it. While this works for a urine sample, it would be nice if it was a much LARGE amount.

  • Easy installation

My cat wouldn't even come close to this

After ordering six packs and emptying three packs in her litter box, my tiny, very healthy (fortunately) 13 year old would not come here for money or money pee love. She walked around the litter box, climbed in, got out, walked around a bit more and after four hours of sheer necessity to use the litter box I threw out that litter, refilled her usual litter box and within 15 minutes a very happy one Cat.

This works great for trash and burglaries

This stuff works great. I find the trick to getting a cat to use the litter box is to keep track of her schedule throughout the day and then just bring her up to his room when she would normally be using the litter box anyway . He used it straight away and I was able to get a nice clean sample for the vet. I bought 6 back to have on hand when 4 cats get older. I'm sure they'll get used to it and it's a lot easier than taking the cat to the vet for a urine sample.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some flaws

It works! Easy to use!

I have used this product twice and highly recommend it. I have found that my cat needs more than 4 ounces. I used 12 oz (3-4 oz product) because my cat didn't want to use only 4 oz litter. Worth the effort! Now is not the time to be frugal. You will need this urine sample without an invasive procedure that a veterinarian must perform. BTW: I recently used the sand version to get a urine sample - my cat had nothing to do with it! So I'm sold. Whenever I need a urine sample from my cat, this isโ€ฆ

Works, but cats don't like it.

This product does not absorb urine, allowing you to collect a urine sample for analysis. I've used it on 2 separate occasions with varying degrees of success. Was the lack of success due to its texture? Draft? My cats DO NOT want to use the litter box it comes with. I went so far as to lock them in a room with him for over 12 hours only to have them refuse to go in the box. As soon as they come out, they immediately run to their usual tray, leaving behind a huge liquid sediment. The onlyโ€ฆ

Carefully planned, the cat refused to use it

The product and its containers are very neatly designed, well organized and presented. However, my cat is over ten years old, exactly fourteen, and would not climb into a multi-container tray of this product. So I couldn't get a urine sample to take her to the vet. When I added his normal litter to this product hoping to get a sample he was still not using his box and was very frustrated that he had to wait. I mixed a lot more filler with the NOSORB bricks and he ended up using the box. Thenโ€ฆ

As a veterinarian, NoSorb is the gold standard

As a veterinary technician I can tell you that I have always used this product in every clinic I have worked at. If you can't pump a kitten or don't have a cystocentesis at the clinic but need to collect urine, all you have to do is fill a clean tray with a small container of NoSorb and wait for your kitten to urinate. Of course, you'll need to isolate your kitten if they live in a multi-cat household. The small granules do not absorb urine (hence NoSorb), but they do give our kitty theโ€ฆ

Easy to use. The vet agreed.

My cat's vet recommended Nosorb as an easier way to collect urine samples from my cats. I was thrilled to find her on Revain. Some of my cats didn't urinate much so I still had to collect the sample in a 3ml oral syringe, but Nosorb definitely made the process easier. Nosorb is a great product. Non-absorbent plastic granules make collecting your cat's urine sample very easy. I prefer to use a very small kitten sized litter box as there is enough Nosorb canister to cover the bottom of the litter

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some difficulties
