Works great for sports

It may seem expensive for a small piece of aluminum but it's still a lot cheaper than other brands of coring aluminum. I've had to use it 4 times since I bought it and it works as you would expect - nothing more to say. I'm sure it will probably last forever if you use it for its intended purpose. It should be easier and quicker to use than those little plastic bar pullers, but either will get the job done.

Tubular or tubeless core.

If you're looking for a way to remove or replace the core in tubeless or tubeless-ready wheelsets, this option won't disappoint. Very durable and easy to find when you put it in your travel bag or tool box. I've used it on 4 separate occasions; once on the trail and 3 more by adding stans to my tires. I would recommend this tool to anyone who wants to do these procedures themselves or might need to switch cores along the way.

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • You could have gone with a newer model

Useful, functional and decent tool

Got it for less than $2 (coupons and PayPal dollars) so 5 stars for value. The tool just works and is worth speeding up the process and adding sealant without tearing the tire. The right size for a good grip. I don't take it on trips as the sealant is already in the tire so it's a workshop tool at best unless you're doing epic multi-day rides. Easy to use and functional no problems at all. Took me less than 10 seconds to remove the valve core so it does what it says on the tin.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Ideal for tightening Presta valve cores

I bought this simple and well designed tool to keep valve cores from coming loose when using my bike pump tube chuck. I use a Lezyne bike floor pump and a frame pump and they both work by threading the pump hose cartridge onto a threaded Presta valve. Unfortunately, if the valve core is not tightened enough, it can come loose when the pump cartridge is unscrewed. This tool gently tightens the valve cores to keep them from coming loose with the pump cartridge. Only an additional 1/2 turn of the…

Ideal for tubeless MTB setups.

A Schrader valve core remover is easy to find, but a Presta valve core remover is much harder to find. This one does the job very well, providing a large enough area to apply leverage to tighten or loosen the valve core and holds the core well. Without such a thing, you can use pliers, but that's a surefire way to get damaged threads, and there's never enough room for them to work properly. This is the only way to fly after removable Presta cores. Not only does removing the core allow you to…

Don't be stingy and buy one of these - it's really cheap

No more trying to tighten the valve core with the wrong tools. I got tired of my valve coming loose when I unscrewed the cap and then tried to tighten it with various car/motorcycle specific tools. Of course, I always had a Schrader tool in every camelbak/breeches/tool bag, but since I never had a Presta, I never had that tool. crappy tools, you'll do a crappy job. It's a simple tool for one purpose and it works well for that. You must have one. It's tiny and light, so even if you're a…
