This is the perfect replacement remote for my Insignia Roku TV. Looks and performs the same (if not better) than the original that inexplicably broke at the top. UPDATE: Over the past week or so this unit has been throwing an overheat warning on the remote screen multiple times. This warning looks like an unfounded false alarm, but it occurs more frequently, often less than an hour after turning on the TV with the remote control.

Works with my 2016 Roku. I had trouble finding a remote that announced my model number. Model number Roku 5406X NS-48DR510NA17. It took some effort to connect. The TV connection didn't work, and then, just as I was about to give up, it miraculously worked. I think the trick was line of sight and turning the TV on and off once or twice. The quick menu buttons aren't very useful, they're for applications I haven't even heard of. But I hardly ever use them anyway, so it doesn't really concern me.

I'm always happy when something that should be simple actually works and works well. That's how it is with this remote control. The original remote for my TV died prematurely due to a dog and a teething baby. Reviews of such things are always difficult to trust. However, in my experience, all I had to do was put in the batteries and the remote worked without drama or the need to program it. Remote controls are really old technology, so I'm glad it was a scenario where you just put in batteries…

Perfect replacement. I don't know what happened to my original remote, but it's gone. I was afraid the replacement would cost that literal arm and leg, but that price wasn't bad at all. It's exactly the same as the original, so I don't have to retrain my remote. I often watch TV in bed at night so it's nice to know where the buttons are when it's dark, so I was grateful it was just like the original.
