🎙️ Enhance Your Dictation Experience with Nuance Dictaphone PowerMic II (44365) Review

Good microphone. I use these at work. Actually not as good as I thought, built into Dragon Medical II automatically. Low stars because the one I received was clearly used before me. Came back for the new Philips, with shorter key travel and less thumb fatigue.

I've heard so many good things about Meditech-pro from my colleagues over the years, it's nice to finally get a first hand experience. The product was carefully packaged and arrived much earlier than expected. I look forward to shopping with them again.

I am a doctor and use it for transcription directly at my clinic's EMR (EPIC). It's overpriced, yes. But the accuracy you get from this thing is amazing. Quick buttons are handy for accessing parts of your note and can be customized to your liking. I wish it was half the price then it would get 5 stars but for what it is it's great.

Nuance technical support is useless. I bought it with Dragon Medical Practice Edition 11. All microphone functions do not work with Windows 8 (tab, text box, recording, etc.). Do not buy this microphone. The software includes a head microphone. Use it until Nuance has a definitive answer on what operating systems the PowerMic II will work with. I bought it together with Dragon Dictate Medical for Mac. Definitely the best microphone for this program. Far better than others I've tried including Blue Yeti and RevoLab's xTag Wireless for accuracy with the program. Had to use USB Overdrive to get it working with Mac, which is a great shareware program. Now if Nuance could just take the program and make the Mac version work just like the PC version and update it to be compatible with Yosemite, we really would have something.

Works great with Dragon Medical, I'm using the online version (not version 10 but still works great!) I didn't even have to use the CD that came with it, it was basically plug and play mine Computer with Dragon already installed. I found the driver and installed it myself, it works right away! This mic makes the Dragon so easy to use that it really speeds up the charting process. I know it can do a lot more than I use it now and I look forward to learning all it can!

This unit was very disappointing, I think it was sold because the owner admitted its poor performance. He keeps skipping words and has trouble interpreting simple sentences. I spend 2-3 times more time dictating than necessary. It is of very poor quality and should not have been sold on Amazon. Power Mic II is a great companion for Dragon Medical. I found it very functional when used with Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Dragon Medical Practice Edition 2 for clinical workflow management in Athena EMR. This shines when remapping buttons to bring up a dictation box with full text control to complete the narration, and then use a different button to "wrap" text into any field.
