Kadaon USB Numeric Keypad - Convenient 18 Key Number Keyboard for Laptop/Notebook PC Review

I use this to control Open Broadcaster on a computer outside of the broadcast, much like a wired remote to switch scenes and cameras. Compared to devices designed for real-time flow control, this is at least $100 cheaper and works fine for me.

The keyboard is very nice. I work a lot with numbers and prefer the keyboard so this was very helpful. Plug in USB and start typing numbers. I just wish there were arrow keys because if you want to navigate the table while typing numbers, you have to go back to the laptop keyboard.

When I bought my laptop a few years ago, I didn't plan on using it that much. When I bought it, I decided against a keyboard with a number pad. I just never thought I would need it. However, over the years as my desktop slowed down my laptop became more important and now I know I need that number pad. I've been more than happy with it since I bought it. I use it daily now.

The "4" key broke the first time the item was used. Whenever I pressed it, it performed three or four inputs instead of one. Also, every time I hit the "seven" key, another 4 would also be entered. The plastic feels very cheap. The keys feel cheap and the chord is very weak. I assume that not all items are as faulty as mine. If it works properly, it's worth the small price. It is compatible with Chrome OS and connects without any software setup. Very convenient.

Good: Plug and play on my two laptops (one with Windows, one with Linux). Very good price. glides on smooth surfaces. They need light and soft rubber feet instead of plastic feet. The key mechanism is a bit light and springy, but acceptable for everyday use. Bottom line: if your laptop doesn't have a numeric keypad like most and you need it occasionally for data entry or gaming, this works well and you can't beat the price. I've only been able to use this keyboard once since I bought it, shortly afterwards the specified keys stopped working. I put off returns because I hate returning Revain items, it takes forever to even get a response and in most cases you never get a replacement.
