Nuvo Iron Decorative Pyramid Aluminium Review

I used a 4x6 cap. The instructions say to use the insert for the 4x6 value. I think my nominal post wasn't nominal enough. The insert is made of plastic and does not stretch over the frame. And in all honesty, you want it to be nice and cozy. The problem went away after some encouragement from 40 grit. The hat itself looks high quality. I really didn't care much about the manufacturer's advertising on MY cap, but that's the way the world is these days.

I just installed two on the posts that support my pergola. I've used cheap thin wood studded aluminum caps from Lowes and Home Depot - this product far outperforms them! I ordered 6x6 and it is perfect for the 6x6 SPF treated stakes that are common in the south. The included screws held it securely and seemed very strong and durable. I bought this because of the low profile. It went very well with my already beveled 6x6 racks. The logo is huge, albeit very noticeable. I thought the logo was only on one side so I could just rotate it so the logo faces away from the field of view, but it's actually on both sides. Seriously folks, no one does this with decorative lighting, cabinetry, or flooring of any kind. I only see logos that big on t-shirts. I have 16 caps for my deck. All I see is NUVO IRON NUVO IRON NUVO IRON NUVO IRON.

For a 3.5 x 5.5 / 4x6 post cap size this may or may not work. For me it was a failure. Based on the condition of the packaging of what I received I would expect this to be unacceptable to many people. This is very good quality cast aluminum. I think they could forego their branding on either side, but okay. How well it matches your wooden post is crucial.
