    7 Raku fire is strong!

    Very glad I took the risk of purchasing this thermocouple. As there are some reviews citing less than reliable experiences, I've had exactly the opposite experience, to say the least. It was super safe! I use it to control the temperature in my ceramic raku kiln that I made myself and it lasts perfectly for 7 fires, controlling the temperature from start to finish and hitting over 1000°C every time.     Get what you pay for.

    This rating is situational. I work for OVK. I was looking for an inexpensive K-type probe to get deeper temperature readings in cross-sections of large ducts and air conditioning cabinets. That's not it. Don't use it, you will be disappointed. Although the rod is a good length, it is not very strong. Easily bends and bends. This does not meet the abuse standards required for HVAC.     Meh replacement

    I replaced an old Type K wire thermocouple (the wire broke in the plug) with this version, thinking it would be more durable. and uncomfortable at the same time. The connector doesn't quite fit and I had to bend the ribs of the connector at odd angles to keep the connector in my pyrometer. The spiral cable is too elastic. It tends to curl and tangle when I need it to relax and lay there. The metal probe is made of fairly thin metal, thinner than I usually see, and bends easily. And finally, the
