I paid twice as much for my aquarium skimmer and I have to say this skimmer works much better and the drip tray is much larger.

Looks like a decent product but my kit had no hardware just a thinner and wooden aerator. at the moment he just sits/swims in my aquarium

Came with cracks and missing parts to make it work but then the air block started leaking where the hose enters and the part that sucks slides over the part where the vacuum accumulated dirt cannot be dismantled

I tried using the eshoppes nano protein skimmer but it wasn't the right size for my tank. This protein skimmer fits in the back of my 16 gallon Fluval Spec so I can keep the hood on with the lights on. Works great with whisper air pump

I returned this item because it was HUGE. Make sure you read all the details. It is very large and will be difficult to place in most nano aquariums. It looked well put together but I couldn't test it as it just didn't fit. There were no problems with the return.

Works as expected. However, I replaced the wooden Airstone with a ceramic one I had years ago. As with all skimmers, the key to working properly is the amount of air you put in. It's better to have a large air pump than one that doesn't pump enough air. Recommend a pump with a pressure of 2.85psi or higher.

I bought this for the Waterbox Cube 20, it sits in the rear center chamber and rests on the floor, the height is just right. I also use the filter sock as my first mechanical filter and change it every few days. In order for it to work, the tank must be properly filled. I had to play around with different aero bricks because the big bubbles came out of the kit for the first time.
