Great tool to make a hole bigger.

Really great tool for enlarging a hole. I had several rod holders that I wanted to use to hold my boat rod but the hole wasn't big enough for the handle. It was just a tool. Sharp enough to cut through plastic. I'll be happy to have this in my drill box for when I need to make a bigger hole.

Pros
  • Industrial drill bit
Cons
  • Long delivery time

This is the biggest step I could find.

I've only put cutting oil on two discs so far, it takes a while but it works and still feels sharp as I have to go through a good 3/8 inch of stock. No heat issues as the wheels acted like a large heatsink, I could still touch the bit after using it for a few minutes, it's just that I had to rest the drill fairly often as it wasn't very good and the bit is huge even though the shank fits a standard cartridge. Overall happy with my purchase as I've made a few wheels that have come in handy…

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Damaged

Poor design and workmanship

This product will NOT work as described due to 2 major design flaws: (1) the material used is not hard and sharp enough to accurately cut common metals and (2) The steps are too big. Where other similar bits increase the pitch by a millimeter (1mm or 1/16 inch), here it increases by 5mm per pitch. The result is a fairly clean hole up to 20mm (about 3/4 inch) in diameter. When used on sheet metal (mild steel or aluminum) this is the practical maximum for this tool. , torn and generally damaged…

Pros
  • Metalworking Drill and Multipurpose Drill
Cons
  • Concise Instructions
