Brake lost! to Parts & Components

At first everything worked out great. They were calm and stopped well. Unfortunately on my last ride one of the pads came off the pad and plate so I didn't have a rear brake. To add insult to injury, I now have scratches on the back plate where the base plate hit metal on metal along with the plate. I wouldn't buy them again. Save your money and discs and buy higher quality pads.

Pros
  • brake parts
Cons
  • small parts

Junk for more than city riding

If you're serious about mountain biking, don't buy these pads. I figured I could handle the lower pad on my spirited db-3 brake kit, which has been damn reliable for the past three years, so I replaced the pads and ran them in. On the first real ride down a steep descent, my front brake softened very quickly and smelled very hot. They didn't return the good brake feel, so I'll use branded pads.

Pros
  • Bike Brakes & Parts
Cons
  • Exorbitant Price

Fits perfectly. Easy to put on and holds up well.

Perfect fit. Easy install and good 100 mile durability (I've done about 250 on expensive OEM pads). No issues with squeaks or noise so a great price for what I got. I use these on SRAM Level T brakes - had a hard time finding pads with markings for these brakes (which we rent for $20 a pair), assumed they would fit based on the lap fit description and it worked fine. I will definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Spare parts and components
Cons
  • Some nuances
