But it worked great. for spares

I still think I could do with a clamp and a block of wood. Note I only did my fronts and the nice thing was that everything fitted perfectly and was easy to use. Maybe when I get to my butts I'll realize that the ease of use is worth it. I like that everything is organized and different sizes. My brother and I were working on my car (a 2004 Honda Accord) and he told me to make sure he brought it home when he had to rebuild his car next year.

Very high quality and durable

This set is perfect. I used it on the rear brakes of a 2005 Mustang GT. Forget the universal "cube" with different sized wrenches on each side. This set is the way to go. This will greatly facilitate the work. Everything is very high quality and very hard. They also paid attention to detail as the tool is magnetized so the adapter stays on while you insert it into the caliper. Even the case is of good quality. I am very happy with this purchase.

Mandatory for disc brakes.

A must have when you need to get your braking job done efficiently, in record time and without damaging the caliper piston or breaking the brake line. Seconds to set up and prep calipers for new pads. Saves tons of time and skin on the joints, reduces piston pressure and works on almost any vehicle. The professional set is well made, easy to use and reliable. I save hundreds of dollars by making my own brakes. Worked great on the front and back of my 2017 Volvo XC90 T6 as well as our 2000 VW…

General purchase that works well

This decent set does the job. It is indistinguishable from competing brands, you can tell the difference between those that look the same just with different casings. Compared to the smaller 7-piece snap-on set, the quality is significantly lower. However, this set works well. The threads on the studs are tight, but be sure to lubricate them properly. When used properly, they seem to hold up very well, but I doubt they'll hold up to some abuse, such as being crushed. B. Beating or breaking a…

A must for the home mechanic

I've been changing brakes for almost 30 years. I've always used a C-clamp and block of wood to compress the piston(s) when replacing disc brakes. A few months ago I was replacing the disc brakes on my son's 2000 Mustang and found that I needed a disc brake installation tool to make the rear brakes. Luckily I was able to rent an OEM kit from my local auto parts store to do the job. I'm not used to renting, especially when I can buy a cheap tool kit. Revan enters. I purchased the OEM 27111 disc…
