Comfortable and Versatile: Office Star Pneumatic Drafting Chair with Casters and Chrome Teardrop Footrest - Vinyl Stool and Back Review

I have the exact same drafting chair that I used in the mid 90's when I lived on the west coast. Unfortunately I couldn't send it. Now that I've moved into a new hard floor paraplegic apartment, this chair is perfect for a kitchen island. It took me less than 30 minutes to assemble.

Seeking Mrs. Painting chair/stool -- A few requirements: comfort, back support, mostly height -- I looked around for drafting chairs as the size factor seemed to be the main feature of this type of chair - Pleasant amazed by the high quality of this chair along with the height of 36 inches - the instructions were clear and the chair is incredibly durable and comfortable - excellent value for a quality chair.

I was about to spend more than double this price on a U-Line chair. I bought this for my workshop to replace a Lowes work tool that wasn't adjustable or very comfortable. I spend a lot of time working on my bench, which is great. Well made, well padded and very easy to set up. Weight limit 205 lbs. The only improvement would be a locking device to prevent it from rotating during use, but the footrest works when it's in the raised position where your feet are off the ground. This chair is placed at the very bottom under the table and stands quite high. The seat feels solid, as does the footrest. Seat and back are comfortable. On the other hand however. I wasn't able to install multiple wheels or stands. The stem just didn't fit into some of the holes in the bottom of the chair. I tried for a while too. LOVE LOVE is a chair. I have a standing workstation/desk and have needed a higher chair for months. Finally broke down and bought this and it's perfect. It has many height adjustments. Once assembled, the chair becomes durable and of excellent quality. I love that there are two types of wheels, with and without wheels. The footrest fits well and the seat is the height I need for my standing desk. I use a chair when I don't want to stand or rest my legs, and I don't have to lower the table when it gets high enough.
