Ideal for quick touch ups to get the blade shaving sharp again. It doesn't remove steel like the 220 grit. I use my knife a lot on the job and the 6000 grit is great for weekly maintenance. Just 2-5 passes per side and I'm ready for another week.

It does what it's supposed to, but expect to go through three of these on a normal abrasive belt when used on high quality hard steels such as hunting/hide knives. That's the price of using an ultra-thin blade to achieve a razor edge on high-quality, super-hard steel. Good thing this belt is sold in a separate package.

These are absolutely the best tint tapes I have ever used. I bought some aftermarket belts where I got more for the money, they were 5000 grit but ended up getting less for the money to leave when they ran out I replaced them with buffing belts and brought some polish on them. great belt.

I bought these straps to replace the ones that came with my Workplace knife sharpener. These are OEM straps, so they are identical to the straps that came with the original device. When used correctly with the right knife product, they are very good at making knife blades very sharp. I am very happy with the purchase of this product and would recommend it to others.

I use Work Sharp on all my knives, Love Em. If you read the manual and watch the expert videos online you can get them as sharp as when you bought them. Big lesson, that purple 8000. Just use this one when you want your knife super sharp again. If the blade is still decent, you don't always have to shoot a 220 grit, polish 8000 and return the razor blade.

These fine-grain cords add a chrome shine to the knife edge. I actually have a Ken Onion model that uses 3/4 inch straps, but it's the same strap that comes with it. Apparently they only make this belt in 1/2" sizes. Get extra accessories as they wear out pretty quickly. If you really want your knives to be razor sharp, you need to use them in your sling arsenal. If you think WSKTS is a good system, all straps are just consumables. You use them, they wear out, you change them and start the cycle again.
